Westford Academy Compost Operations Intern

Are you someone with a strong interest in sustainability, who enjoys working outdoors and mentoring students?

The Sustainable Westford Compost Working Group is looking for a Compost Operations Intern to help manage the food scraps composting program at Westford Academy.

Our WA Compost Manager will provide oversight and training for the intern about best compost management practices. The intern will assist students with composting food scraps, help manage the work team to aerate and water compost piles once/week, and assist with leaves and compost screening 1-2 times during the year.

Intern must be available 3 weekdays/week during 12:10-1:00 pm, and 2 hours one day/week during the school year and summer months. Must have valid driver’s license and car and be physically fit and able to lift 30 lbs.

Duration of internship: September 2016-August 2017
Position has stipend of $1500
