Meet some of the friendly faces you’ve seen at the weekly Farmers Markets!

As volunteers, we help out with a wide range of responsibilities, ranging from tent setup to face painting. Hope to see you on Tuesday!

Chinar Rastogi

Chinar is entering his junior year of high school at Westford Academy. This is his second year volunteering for the Farmers Market. He plans on volunteering throughout the summer and fall for the rest of his high school career. In addition to the Farmers Market, Chinar enjoys playing tennis and trading stocks. Chinar likes to give back to his community and help out.

Mitchell Holman

Hello, my name is Mitchell Holman. I’m a rising senior at Westford Academy. This is my fourth season volunteering with the Westford Farmers Market. I will be acting as a student market manager this season. This is actually my second season as the vendor relations manager for the market. I have found the market to be a great way to give back to my local community. The great food, fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, and the people you meet here on the common combine to create a great experience that I am proud to be part of. Along with the market I am a member of the WA Varsity Boys Soccer team. In my free time I enjoy skiing and nature.

Nancy Wang

Hello! My name is Nancy Wang and next year I’ll be a senior at Westford Academy. This is my third year at the market, and it’s indisputable that Farmers Market and the Sustainable Westford organization have taught me some valuable lessons about leadership while working for the community. Although I serve as market manager this season, my auxiliary role is running the environmental portion of the market in which we sort Upcycle and educate the public about various environmental issues, local or global. In addition to the great food you’ll find here at the market, I hope you’ll find great ways to go green as well! Anisha Purohit

Hi, my name is Anisha Purohit and I will be a Junior at Westford Academy this fall. I am very excited to be returning to Farmer’s Market for my second year, now as Volunteers Coordinator. My first year being a part of Westford’s Farmers Market was a phenomenal experience. I’ve enjoyed helping out with Children’s crafts and face painting the most. My other interests include singing, piano, guitar, flute, and biking. The fun and friendly atmosphere here is wonderful and I look forward to a great season!

Enya Han

I’m Enya Han, I’ll be in 12th grade this upcoming school year. I’m usually taking a part in face-painting and helping with crafts. Volunteering at the Farmers Market means a lot to me because I can give back to my community while promoting a greener environment and eating good food.

Priya Iyengar

Hello, I am Priya Iyengar and I will be a junior at Westford Academy. I started volunteering for farmers’ market a year ago, and I have had the pleasure of progressing from a volunteer to a Children’s Program manager here at the market for the next season. I love to face paint, help out with the kids’ crafts, set up and help out our vendors in any way I can. The fun, pleasant atmosphere amongst the people and the great cause the market represents draw me back to the place this year. In my free time, I like to listen to music, watch movies, bike and play badminton.

Celia Zhou

Hi guys! My name is Celia Zhou and I’m a rising sophomore at Westford Academy. This is my first year volunteering at the Farmer’s Market. I joined in order to have a chance meet new people and interact with the community. In my free time I play the violin and am a part of the orchestra.

Hannah Wang

Hi, my name is Hannah Wang. I am a rising sophomore at Westford Academy and this is my first year volunteering at the Westford Farmer’s Market. Outside of school, I enjoy painting and doing gymnastics. This season, I am looking forward to becoming more involved with the community.

Sharon Wang

Hi! My name is Sharon Wang, and I am a 14-year-old upcoming sophomore at Westford Academy. This is my first year volunteering at WFM. I am looking forward to learn how to benefit the environment and get the feel of the great community here!

Varun Srivastava

Hi, I am Varun Srivastava a rising junior at Westford Academy. Although this is only my first year, I am looking forward to a wonderful year volunteering here, aspiring to help both in vendor relations and marketing. The Farmers Market is a unique experience to get involved in and it is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn more about the environment and food production. At WA I am involved with several other clubs, and in my free time I enjoy reading, playing basketball and soccer, and spending time with my friends.

Nihar Sheth

Hi, my name is Nihar Sheth. I am a rising junior at Westford Academy. I am excited to volunteer at the Farmer’s Market and interact with the local community. I am passionate about making our world greener, and the Farmer’s Market is, in my opinion, a great way to do that. At school, I am a member of the quiz bowl club and the mock trial team. In my free time, I enjoy running and hanging out with friends.

Cindy Huang

I’m Cindy Huang, a rising sophomore and volunteer here at the Farmers’ Market. This is my first year volunteering here, but I’m excited to be more involved in the community and environment. In my free time I enjoy swimming, drawing and reading.

Shyamal Patel

Hi I am Shyamal Patel. I am 16 years old and am going to go to the senior year next year at Westford Academy. The most that I like about the market is meeting new people and that it does a great job of bringing all the town people together and raises environmental awareness. I am also currently involved in environmental club at WA. I am also a part of Track and Field team and in my free time I like to spend time with my family and play cricket and other outdoor games. I am looking forward to meet new people and making their experience more efficient.

Anagha Iyengar

I’m Anagha Iyengar and I will be a senior at WA in the fall. I take part in many clubs in school, and I like playing music, reading, and drawing. I joined WFM to find out what I can do in making Westford more green.

Rohan Prasad

Hi, My name is Rohan Prasad, and I’m a rising freshman at Westford Academy. This is my first year volunteering at the Westford Farmers Market. I first learned about sustainability when my mother built a vegetable garden, and started growing vegetables and fruits at home. I enjoy playing tennis, basketball, and piano. I am excited to meet new people, and learn more about sustainability in Westford.

Dan Measer

My name is Dan Measer. I will be a Senior at Westford Academy.  I have been involved in the Farmer’s Market almost from its beginning.  I believe in sustainability and first learned about it in my family’s backyard garden.  I enjoy music, camping, and anything outdoors.  In the Fall and Spring I am busy with the Westford-Littleton Crew team. I play rec. basketball in the Winter. I work as a counselor for the Recreation Department in the Summer. I think the Farmer’s Market is great for both the vendors and the town and I ‘m happy to be a part of it all. Hope to see you there.

Liza Bernard

I’m an 11th grader and I like cats.  I also enjoy playing guitar and listening to music.  The Farmers Market is an exciting place for me to interact with members of the community.

Jeffrey Yao

I like to read and play flute, and I am volunteering for the Westford Farmers Market because I wish to broaden the community’s live musical experience through music played during the market and to assist in increasing the popularity of local vendors and restaurants.

Anant Agrawal

Hi, I’m Anant Agrawal and I’m in charge of public relations and marketing for this year.  Starting out simply managing the fish raffle, I soon fell in love with the farmer’s market’s fresh atmosphere and innovative initiatives.  It gave me the chance to help my community and get involved.  Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to bolster my responsibilities and commitment for our other numerous initiatives such as the bikeathon and suggest some of my own in order to spread word about the good everyday kids can do if they work together.  

Neehath Malisetty

Hi, my name is Neehath Malisetty. I am a rising senior at Westford Academy and this is my first year volunteering at the Farmer’s Market. I decided to volunteer at the Farmer’s Market in order to learn more about the sustainability project in Westford. I also enjoy playing tennis year-round and I coach basketball in the winter.
